This one's gonna hurt, literally.
There are hundreds of names for glutamate-based additives in manufactured foods. You might recognize MSG; however, do you also recognize nutritional yeast, yeast extract, soy protein isolate, modified pea protein...? There are global companies created to cater to food scientists, and they are very upfront about their abilities to get around labeling laws.
Glutamate receptors are subjected to the same laws of propagation that other receptors are. Cannabinoid, for example.
You increase the consumption and the result is an increase in receptors. The realm of the hungry ghost. This also happens in gestation, as mentioned in Day 17.
Your mother's receptors and your receptors coincide.
Soy is high in glutamate, which is why it's used as a flavoring agent and meat substitute. The Asians created a fake category for it, called "umami". This "taste" does not trigger the satiation mechanisms in the brain. This is why you can't stop eating Chinese Food, or Mexican Food. Or any manufactured food, for that matter.
Bacteria ingesting high glutamate sources have been found to excrete glutamate.
So, you think, I just won't consume manufactured goods.
Unfortunately, the source of glutamate is plants.
Anxiety is very common these days, and apparent.
What isn't apparent is the fact that glutamate overstimulates brain cells until they fry. The body then dumps calcium into the channels to buffer this.
Look around. Do you see the effects of this excitotoxin?
Pretty much everywhere.
Anxiety IS NOT a natural state of being.
When you know. You know.
